Sincere condolences to the family and friends who feel the significant loss of such a wonderful man. Buzz was a very special man, which was evident the first time we met. He displayed compassion, strength, joy of life, care, concern, and love of family and friends. We participated in many good conversations. His kindness and love of life were evident in all he did and said. The loss of a loved one presents a difficult challenge and requires time and patience. Each individual needs to allow the grieving process to help them move through their pain, share their grief, and believe in their own strength and vision to take the best from their relationship into the future. While I did not know "Buzz," personally, I am profoundly sorry to hear the news. His story is rather fascinating and I had to smile at the story of him leaving a baseball game to run track. What a beautiful tribute written about Buzz. I was Buzz and Dory’s insurance agent for over 45 years. They were just the best! Buzz was always so upbeat and we always chatted about anything and everything, he never met a stranger. Such an example of hard working, devoted husband, father and grandfather. I know he is now with his beloved Dory, Diane, Peter and family left before him. He will he greatly missed, wishing him love and eternal peace❤️

Buzz excelled in many endeavors; athletics, academics, science, art. He was a man with much to boast about, but never did, always attributing his success to the support of his family, especially his beloved Dory. Buzz was a natural teacher; he explained complex concepts clearly without burdening the listener with pedantic details. He loved the natural world, and as reflected in his care for the Galleron vineyard, sought to live in harmony with nature rather than dominate it. When Buzz decided to transition away from growing grapes he sought assistance on fig cultivation from experts at the USDA facility in Winters, and soon became one himself. And of course, made friends of the scientists there. Not long after I began dating Diane, we visited Buzz and Dory in St Helena. Ever the gracious host, Buzz offered to make us peach cocktails. After waiting what I thought was an inordinate amount of time to open a frozen container, I looked out the window and saw Buzz precariously perched on a ladder picking fresh peaches. I came to learn frozen food was a rare commodity in the Bosetti house. Buzz regarded his family as his greatest accomplishment. He had a profound lifelong commitment to those within his wide family circle. Much of what I know about being a father and husband I learned watching Buzz navigate the vagaries of life. The example he set as a decent, kind, loving man will be his enduring legacy. Godspeed Buzz. We love you.
